You're invited to 'The Christmas Truce'

100 years ago this Christmas, an inspirational event took place during WWI.  British and German soldiers laid down their guns, crossed “No Man’s Land”, and declared a ceasefire. After burying their fallen, carols were sung and gifts were exchanged. On that day, brotherhood was stronger than bullets, as an historic game of football turned enemies into equals.

This Christmas, join us in sharing the magic of The Christmas Truce.  A celebration of memories and song.

This is a Christmas event not to be missed. Bring your family for an evening of Christmas carols. Then be transported back in time as we remember the start of The Great War in a community event of carols, hymns and anthems from the era.

Be touched as film footage, narration, and letters from the front reveal that even in a nation’s darkest hour, patriotism, tenderness and hope shine through.

It’s a lesson for the ages - a Christmas Carol service you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
